Anna Poletti is a researcher, teacher, writer, and editor interested how we use media technologies to make sense of our experiences. They’ve taught creative writing, literary and cultural studies at Utrecht University (Netherlands), the Netherlands Institute of Cultural Analysis, and Monash University (Australia). They are currently based in Dharawal Country, New South Wales, Australia.

Anna has written about media and autobiography for arts and cultural organisations in Australia, Europe, and North America. Their novel, hello, world? (Semiotext(e) 2024), tells the story of two people who become entangled with each other in digital and analogue space: sharing their bodies and books, their deepest desires and fears.

Anna’s academic research into the intersection of personal storytelling and media has been published by New York University Press, Palgrave, University of Wisconsin Press, University of Hawai’i Press, and in academic journals in media, cultural and literary studies.
